Privacy Policy

07 is a local-first camera with no account, advertising, analytics, or developer-operated photo server.

Effective and last updated: August 9, 2026

Photographs and Card 01

Camera frames and finished photographs are processed on your device. Card 01 files remain in 07's local app storage until you erase them, format Card 01, or remove the app. Card 01 is excluded from device backup. ERASE and FORMAT affect only Card 01 and never delete assets from your Photos library.

The photograph count

One number is kept outside that storage. The count of photographs you have taken with 07 is saved in your device's secure Keychain, so it stays on the device even if you delete the app. It is stored this way so that reinstalling 07 does not hand out a second free allowance. It is a count and nothing more: no photographs, no names, no identifiers. It stays on this device, it is not synced to iCloud, and it is not sent anywhere.

Photos

Saving a copy to Photos is optional. 07 asks only for add-only Photos access and does not enumerate unrelated items in your library. A copy added to Photos is controlled by you and may sync according to your iCloud Photos settings. Because Card 01 and Photos are separate systems, 07 confirms saves when iOS reports success but cannot promise delivery exactly once in every interruption or termination edge case.

Camera and location

Camera access is used only while the REC. interface is visible. Location metadata is optional and off by default. When you enable it, a recent location is written into the captured photograph's metadata. You can revoke Camera, Photos, or Location permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Purchases and sharing

StoreKit purchases are processed by Apple; the developer does not receive your payment-card information. Sharing begins only when you choose SEND and invoke Apple's system share sheet. The service or person you select then handles the shared copy under its own terms.

Data requests

07 has no developer-held account data to delete. To remove local Card 01 data, use ERASE or FORMAT, or remove the app. Photos-library copies must be managed in Photos. The photograph count described above is the one exception: it remains in the device Keychain after the app is removed, and ERASE and FORMAT do not lower it.
